細胞病理のエキスパートを目指す人へ

2014年10月、久しぶりに山東大学を訪問し、4名の第2病理学同門と会ってきました。4名がそれぞれの部署で活躍し、大きく成長したことに誇りに持っています。周教授との友情は、偶然の出会いからスタートしたのですが、20年間以上の継続した交流と友好関係は、大きな成果を生み出せたと大変喜んでいます。病理学教室のＨＰにも記事が出ています。ご参照ください。中国語ですが。　　http://202.194.15.128:666/shownews.asp?id=104‍ I am happy to be a witnesss of our friendship communication and PhD student exchange program between prof Zhou of Shandon University and me of Wakayama Medical University for more than 20 years. Five of our PhD students are currently working in China and 3 of them are in Shandon University as faculty members. Taishan Medical University invited me to have a lecture on thyroid cancer for medical student during my stay in China.  The university cerebrate 40th anniversary this week and my lecture become one of the ceremony program ( http://202.194.232.16/jcyx/viewwz.asp?cid=402  ).   A guest professorship was given by the president Wang as shown in photo.Dr Li is a faculty member of the Department of Pathology, Taishan Medical University since last year. 泰山医科大学に迎えられた李先生がアレンジしてくれて、泰山医科大学で講演をさせていただきました。李君が中国語で通訳をしてくれたので、学生からも質問があり、講演を分かってもらったかとほっとし、喜んでいます。翌日王学長より、客座教授の称号を頂き、来年も来て下さいと言われてもう一度喜びました。今週はたまたま、泰山医科大学の創立（山東大学の分校から、独立した大学に改組された）40周年記念の式典中で、、記念式典の一つの行事として私の講演を加えていただいたようです。大学のHome page ( http://202.194.232.16/jcyx/viewwz.asp?cid=402  )をご覧ください。中国語で分かりません。

                    I have an opportunity to visit at the Jiangsu Institute of Nuclear Medicine, to create a new friendship communication with Prof Daijun, Prof Jimmy and other members. They recently published a new textbook of thyroid cytology, ”甲状腺細胞病理図譜、人民軍医出版社、ISBN 978-7-5091-6180-7”, the first textbook of thyroid cytology written in Chinese language.  Its remarkable point is that most of their illustrations are from HE stained conventional smear samples, significantly different from Papanicoloau stain.  These are good illustrations and have a good correlation to HE features in histology. I found that dry artifacts did not create any problems in samples stained with HE in comparison to those often create serious staining problems in Papanicoloau samples. They have a good teamwork for patients with thyroid diseases and composed of  pathologists, endocrinologists, surgeons and radiologists.  I found they have more than 1500 thyroid surgerys including more than 700 cancer cases per year.      

                1991年に和歌山県立医科大学解剖学教授に着任された仙波恵美子先生が本年3月にご退官になりました。上記写真がその風景です。参加者が多いだけでなく、自ら歌を歌われるなど華やかな、いい退官祝賀の会でありました。ほぼ私の在任期間と一致しているために、多くの点で接点の多い同僚で、ご退職は感無量であります。多くの業績を解剖学教室より発信されたことに敬意を表します。同年代の研究者がまた一人現職を退かれることからも、時間の流れを感じています。面白いことは、私と同様に4年生医療系大学に活躍の場を得られたことです。学生に人気のある教員でしたので、健康で益々のご活躍を願っています。

          8月24日東海大学学友会館（霞が関ビル）にて、東海大学病理学教室同門会が開かれました。2年ぶりの開催で30名の参加者があり、森先生など懐かしい人々と会うことが出来ました。しかし一方では赤塚ご夫妻のご逝去などのふ報が3名あり、時間の流れの抗いがたさを感じています。現職の教室員と、玉置先生時代の方との交流の場としても機能しているようで、東海大学病理学教室同門会の団結と、これからのご発展を祈りたいと思っています。
